gyroscope?
perhaps it could basicallly use one of the reaction wheel discs and perhapos be built into the higher tier ones, essentially you can set the angle it classes as stable.

uses:
1.autopilot (V1-rocklets were guided in this way)
2.stability during VTOL (could balance thrust making helicopters and VTOL viable)
3.could be used with reaction wheels to keep rovers stable as a setting
4. could be used with hydraulic landing legs on landers to ensure a level structire, even on an incline.

and many more!

I dare say it is probably a fairly simple thing to implament into the base game, especially compared to modders making it.

it could have modes and each mode could have sliders for the parameters, plus in the VAB and SPH it could perhaps demonstrate the angles as you adjust them.

Isn't that what a reaction wheel with SAS on does?

what is the diff?

as far as I'm aware SAS doesen't adjust thrusters to balance,it simply controls reaction wheels and rcs, what I'm suggesting is a part you can toggle on alongside your VTOL staging and use it to regulate the thrust to keep the craft level with it's VTOL thrusters.

basically,a programable SAS which can be used for more comples uses such as regulating thrust to balance over the cente of mass.

That's not really a gyroscope.

Go check out the Throttle Controlled Avionics for what you're looking for.

if that mod worked for me then that'd be the perfect mod for it,although I can't seem to get the thrust of my VTOL to balance.

what I'm saying is there should be a part in the game that can do that withot mods.

You might as well drop the game then. The modders will always be ahead, and Squad is a very small team.

basically, the mod is showing all the probes and comand modules as TCA being "unavaliable" in big red letters,I can't seem to find a way to fix it (yes it's sandbox)

I guess I should post elsewhere asking for help with the mod?

I have no idea how you're getting this problem. Do you have a control part and two or more engines on the craft?
williamsa1997 Apr 11, 2016 @ 12:50pm
one rear engine,4 VTOL, and one command module but all the vannilla command pods and probes shot it as unavailable in their parts menu summary.

* shrug *

There seems to be an ongoing bug-stomp, judging by the mod's thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/97154-throttle-controlled-avionics-301-105-11-continued/&page=23

and now for the usual questions:
1. Did you download the most recent version of the mod?
2. Is that version compatible with your version of KSP?
3. Did you install the mod properly?

To fix your problems, delete the mod folder that you placed within KSP's gamedata folder. Ask yourself those questions above. Find solutions. Try again.

I installed the latest version which should be up to date I'd imagine since Dennis recomended it,I downloaded the zip then extracted it into game data.

Is the version made for 1.1 or 1.05? Which version of KSP are you using? Does the mod require other mods to function properly? If so, did you install those mods as well? You must know all of these things. Always research before installing a mod. If you see that others are having problems with a specific version of the mod using a specific version of KSP, install at your own risk.
