Can't put the J-20 "Juno" Basic Jet Engine on my plane.
The game won't let me put the basic jet engine on the wings or anywhere on the ship besides the back. I can't put the circular intake on unless its on the wings or on top of the space craft. I've gone between both angles and none of them worked. I tried using decouplers and everything but it wont attach to the plane. Is there any way to fix this or am I just doing something wrong?

Are you attaching the smaller liquid fuel tanks to the wings and then trying to attach the engine to those tanks? If not, try that.
The engine cannot be surface-attached. It, and the intake, have to go atop the stack, normally a Mk 0 tank.
try something like this - as the other 2 guys mentioned:

basically, you attach the mk0 tanks radially to the fuselage of the plane and add the small intake and the juno engine to the tank.

Ooohhhh, that makes a lot more sense actually. I tried the fuel fuselage and it worked. Thanks for your suggestions!
Ok, so I managed to get my plane up into the air, but whenever I go to turn, the plane flips onto its side slowly and then goes down into the ocean. Do I have my parts set up wrong? Or do I need to add parts that let you turn? Here is my current plane: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=660080520

Control surfaces on the wings kind of like that^
When you turn, you roll either right or left and pull up.
The ailerons will work best out on the wings. The further they are form the center the more roll response you will likely get. You need ailerons for roll and elevators either in the rear or on the front (canards) for pitch control. Also make sure each control surface is toggled active for what you want to use it for.

Or you can go for a Sukhoi-style three-surgace aircraft with both canards and tail stabilizers.

Also, roll is often excessive. You may wish to use only one set of ailerons.
