Resolution keeps resetting to screen default

This is getting extremely annoying and prevents me to even play.

I'm playing on a laptop.
This requires me to play fullscreen but 720p.

Whenever I join the vessel control mode, the resolution resets to 1080p -and my FPS drop to 20-25.

I tried reinstalling the game, changing versions and reverting, checking files, nothing changed.
Note that the config.csg file is not changed when the bug occurs.

The bug occurs on all my saves.

KSP version: latest. I've been having this bug since late 1.5.
OS: Windows 10

Special Windows parameter : I have my taskbar at the top of my screen.

Same issue, I have it on 2k, but everytime I change from vehicle assembly to launch pad, it returns to my screen monitor, 4k, and after some minutes it crashes...

You could try adding...

-window-mode exclusive

...to your launch parameters to see if that prevents it.

Adding the "-window-mode exclusive" parameters worked (as far as I've tested it.

Hopefully it stays that way!

You may experience issues with alt tab but that's not exclusive to KSP. Exclusive fullscreen is pretty much a thing of the past but it can be useful at times, like this.

I'm going to try this tomorrow. Getting sick of the 5 minute freeze and screen resolution mishaps every time I touch Kerbin's atmosphere.

Word of warning, the command broke with the 1.8 release. Not sure if it functions correctly again with 1.9.
