If you dock with a large station and come in with a very heavy ship must have much much lower docking speed not to send those shock waves through the station. Once it start oscillate SCS seem unable to fix it.
Use "docking port alignment indicator" mod and dock at 0.1 or 0.05 meters per second or less. It tells you how far you have left so you can slow down just before contact.
Except for that I also noted disconnections can be more violent now but not always. Leting kerbals go on EVA might make them unconcious and fly off at 30 m/s. I guess their helmet collides with something. Earlier it was just that problem. But now it can send the ship spinning too and when they EVA SCS is turned off. My only solution is to , except for the capsule, put a cheap HECS unit or something similar so SCS remains on to keep the ship stable do you can get back in when this happens.
I hope Squad keep working for us fans and solve things like this.
It is true true true. I used that. It seems getting the program to turn off the physics is what you need to do. Either switch to a ship further away or drive away more then 2.5 km or whatever it is and then come back. Or as I did it back then exit to main menu and load up the campaign again. But also when the station growed over a certain size it never rocked anymore. Guesstimating that the code might give up and stopo simulating the beast.
I also had other problems with ships what was in a ok state but for some reason could not be steered anymore. Going to space center and then tracking station and then jump into the ship it can be steered again. So this game really isn't that stable.
Right now I am sending a Mun probe. While working with another ship in Kerbin orbit then go to the Mun probe to check the trajectory after SOI change it was gone. Go to tracking station and the whole mission was gone. I thought DANG it smashed into the Mun. Kerbal alarm clock never ever is that far off. Ok so I sent another probe it vanished. Then I took up a third and thought I am going to ride this one. But checking in map view in Kerbin orbit I saw it could not even render the satellite icon. So I used the rename vessel and changed type to a ship. That symbol was vissible and leaving the ship and checking in the tracking station the mission was in the list so I could jump out to the ship again.
But I loose my motivation playing the game when messing with things like this and doing no progress career wise so I logged off. Going in to see today if it survives going to Mun.
The game is not very stable. Maybe I was just lucky going that far in previous campaigns.

My bad. My fault. It seems some of the mod or mods or something have click through on the windows. So I click the mod but then in the tracking station, at the same time, turn OFF what things tracking station should show. I did not catch that.
I've only been back a short time, so maybe I'll change my mind, but so far KSP feels like it has moved backward in the year I've been gone.
