My plane keeps swerving on the runway
Hi, when I start accelerating my plane on the runway, the plane starts swerving left and right. I don't know what to do, I tried adding more landing gears and turning off the landing gear's steering, but neither of those have eliminated or even lessened my swerving. What should I do?

Yes, but it doesn't help

planes tend to swerve when the main landing gear (ie usually the gear at the back that carriers most of the weight) is too far from the center of mass. you can reduce the effect somewhat by placing it closer to the CoM.

There was also an issue of the plane's parts moving in realtion to each other - just like your huge rocket without any struts runs the risk of actually wobbling a little even while stationary, the wheels on your plane can do the same thing. It might be a bug, because at some point it was severe enough on me to break even regular rovers at regular speeds (the ones that I've already used a bajillion times without any problems, that is). Try using stuts to directly connect landing gears to each other, that just might help.

With the recent update (1.1). The new wheel mechanics tend to make the wheels a bit uncontrolable at higher speeds. I sugest that you move your planes back wheels father apart, I have seen that this tends to work better.

They could be sitting to far behind the center of mass, The nose is ready to lift but since the landing gear was so far back it couldn't which would cause your nose to just flail side to side and roll you over.

Atleast, thats how it wasfor me....

good luck =D

You can lower your takeoff speed by placing the landing gear close to the center of mass.

Think of it like a skateboard or bike, the faster you go the more weight you need on the front wheel(s). This causes issues with a plane on takeoff because the faster you go the less weight you have on the front wheel.
