What is the Altitude of "In space low" and "In space high"?
When doing science experiments in orbit you can get different points for some stuff done in high orbit and low orbit. Does anyone know where I can find a list of the different altitudes when low orbit changes into high orbit for the different planets and moons?

For Kerbin, over/under 250k. The Mun is 30k. Minimum is 6k, I think.
There's a Science Checklist out there that has all the info.

Actually, the distances are about 3/4ths down the page.

Thank you.

It all depends whether I have space left to pack up some drugs in the ship or not.

Zing!

Mun has atmosphere?

No, but when doing some of the science experiments you will get different points for being in a low or high orbit. In the case of Mun above 60k A crew report is high orbit, and below is low orbit, two different sets of results.

This table shows a breakdown:

Why people don't read? Wiki article has answers on all asked additional questions. :KOh:
@ GRENKIN; BECAUSE ITS F*CKIN MISINFORMATION! Moron...

I'm currently in an orbit at 240k above the mun and I'm trying to do a mission for a high orbit scan, and its STILL not completing the mission. So either the mission is corrupt or WIKI has jacked up information.

1) Do you trust WIKI with everything you do? Hope not, lots of incorrect info there
2) Game is still not "completed" so defn' of orbits could change
3) Game has bugs, maybe the mission is bugged

Therefore, stop being a D*CK and just answer the question. Or keep your mouth shut and let the adults talk.

That does not help
It does if you know what to look for.

It is easy to verify -- just generate a crew report and look at the report. If it says "Crew Report From High Above The Mun", then yes, the game thinks that you are in the right biome ("High Above"). If you view the contract status while in-flight, there will be a checkmark next to each criteria that you are met (e.g. "In orbit of the Mun" should definately be checked).

Some missions are simply bugged and imposible to complete -- you may have run into one of them. This is much more likely than the wiki being incorrect about such a basic fact (one that has no reason to change)

So, while the information being requested IS, in fact, at the location specified on the wiki, I can easily understand why so many people still could not find it. It took me a long time to find it, because the chart is not especially clear.

The keys are the "Border" and "Limit" columns.
Atmosphere Border: The altitude bordering Low and High atmosphere
Atmosphere Limit: The altitude bordering High atmosphere and Low space
Space Border: The altitude bordering Low space and High space

I hope that helps!:steamhappy:

Yes?

I used to have a video for necroposts that was some necromancy 'music' or somethin'.
Lost it in the great wiping of my computer, I'm afraid.

At least people who might have this question will know where to get the answer..?
