Yeah - take it all out of the pod, the same way you would take each bit from its particular experiment, and carry it over to the ship you're going to fly away in.

If you have an antenna on youre spaceship you can also transfer the science home (at 30% science from the 100% you get if you return the ship to Kerbin). Later on you unlock stuff in the tech tree wich cause the transmitted science to be higher then 30%).
I just hate loosing all that science so almost always return it.
