new at kerbal, need help installing certain mods
hello guys, this is my first time on a forum of any game, i downloaded this game and i love it, i'm also a fan of doctor (dr who) who, so i downloaded a tardis mod, then i learned there is a mod called hyperedit that lets me warp/hyperdrive/teleport to planets and such, ive been trying all morning to get it to work, but i am such a dunce at computers and installing mods etc, i am asking for help, if anyone could please talk me through what to do, how to do it, where to download it, step by step, i would greatly appreciate it. i have reinstalled KSP so i am freshly prepared for anyones guidance.

Hi, hyper edit go to forum thread follow download link to Hyper Edit home site, download the version appropriate for your install. in the download you will find a folder called Kerbaltek, this folder contains the hyper edit plugin, the hyper edit data folder and a flags folder, place the whole Kerbaltek folder into your KSP gamedata folder, start game. Go to sph or vab, grab ship and launch. In the aap laucher toolbar(stock) you should see a large letter H. if you don't you have installed it incorrectly. As for explaining how it works there ia a wiki, there are so mant things it can do you really need to read the instructions. The basic function i use constantly is the micellaneous tools, this allows you to remove or add resouces to active crafts.
For quickly warping between planets or orbit use the orbit editor, i'd say try it out away from your main save then once you have a feel for it you can use it without worrying. On the whole it's trouble free but as I say it's very versatile and you can do some things that may not turn out exactly as you imagine, especially when warping betwen orbits
It's quite idiot-proof:
Download mod, open .Zip or .rar and have a look at the stuff you got.
Is there a GameData folder inside any of the folders?
YES: Put it's content in your GameData folder inside the KSP directory
NO: Put the folder from the .Zip/.rar inside your GameData folder.

If there is a folder called Sourcecode, just ignore it

It's also a good idea to check the forum page of the mod (forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com) for instructions

Absolutely. For as much flak as it gets, CKAN has been a huge help to me. And I'm the kind of person who greatly prefers manual installation of mods.

I don't use it for installation, but I check wich mods are up to date and there is always a link to the forums for each mods. So yeah it's pretty nice.

there is some good truth to this, always check if your mods are up to date.
Well the best thing about ckan are the links to the forum because, and I can't recommend this hard enough, you should ALWAYS have a look at the forum post for the following:
-Unique instructions?
-Are there mods wich this one depends on? (ckan doesnt show if they're up to date too, the link to the mod in the forum will!)
-Known bugs
-Things to be aware of
-THE LAST FORUM PAGE (recent complains, warnings, fixes etc. from users)
I also dont see an H at the top or cant press alt H
Erm, where did you get the Tardis mod exactly? I strongly suspect it might not work with the current version of KSP.
