Thanks for the replies. I have read that the new scans are local area (beneath spacecraft) only, and not full planet/moon. Does anyone have more information on that detail?
"Oh KSP has a new scan and communication feature, better stick to scansat and wait for my mods so I can turn it into the thing I'm playing for years now."
-install ckan
-install mods like Mechjeb
-build working test-rocket in sandbox
-fly to destination
-test scan and communication
or
-write question, get answer.
Hard to get, really...
It's fun and it's nicly done. If people donÄt want to lose their mods they could also just play a backup of 0.25 there is no danger of those feared changes.
