♥♥♥♥. Keys dont work
I have scoured every edge of the ksp fandom, site to site, video, text, i even went outside and asked actual PEPOLE. But theres nothing apparently no one has ever had this glitch but me. I have 0 mods and this started since my second time opening the game, for some strange reason not a single key works. Not in main menu, not in the settings nada. and yes Alt-F12 dosent work either. PLEASE if anyone has a solution to this nightmare i need to know. My last theory is maybe its confusing my latin QWERTY keyboard for something else??? But at this point i have given up, only being able to play this game on school computers (it works on school computers and even the same model for others but not ME!!!) Anyways im kinda proud of the progress i made, at least i got a base on minmus after 69 hours which like 30 of were me trying to fix this key bug. ggs jeb, you win.

Try do repair from steam it seems to fix most random issues.

Right click the game and go into properties -> local files -> verify game files.

It will check for files that are broken/outdated or missing and replace them.

ive done that 3 or 4 times

Well, good news, I found others with the same issue. Bad news, none of the pages I found have a solution.

Might be worth asking them if they solved it.

I would mainly be thinking about some other software / feature that might be intercepting the keys. Like, Geforce Experience is the common culprit on PC for snatch away the ALT+F12 command.

Edit: Oh, another thought, do Mac's have something like "sticky keys". On Windows this is triggered by tapping shift 5 times and can completely screw up your inputs.

Ok so funny story, i fixed it. On my way to launch commands i noticed i had the launch option "-popupwindow" This made it so that the window wasnt completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it was borderless. So i want to tell whoever sugessted me to put this in that you have stolen years from my life, and you are truly the second coming of lucifer.

dont understand why this messed up the keys, and i dont think i want to know, i am happy with this status quo

although i think i will tell some of my friends this, they also got ksp and i dont wanna be the only one to have gone through this tourture

Well, presumably at some point you are not in the window so your inputs do not apply to the game. I use poupwindow as I have two screens and I don't want KSP disappearing when I click about on the second monitor. I have noticed that when I launch KSP, the game doesn't always become the active window, so perhaps it's simply that.
