I Suck And Need Help
So after spending hours fine tuning my deep space research vessel I finally managed to launch it but I didnt realize until it was too late to revert flight that I forgot to load my crew!! All I have is my pilot and no one else. Is there a way either through console commands or cheats to add crew to a ship already in flight?

there is at least one rather messy editing the save file. I doubt you want to go there though. Also I have no accurate instruction how to do that, since I have never done that myself. But in the end everything in KSP saves is just text lines, so it is possible for sure. You just have to find and adjust proper entries and all links to particular kerbonaut and ship.

If it's still in orbit you could just launcher them to a rendezvous in a smaller ship, then have them EVA over when you're like 100 meters away.

Thanks for responding. I was hoping I wouldnt have to dig into the files to fix my mess up. I usually end just ruining my saves lol.

Thanks for responding. Thats probably what I'll probably end up having to do. Was hoping I could get away with a bit cheating as my previous attempts at ship rendezvous usually dont end well lol. I just felt so dumb after I realized Jeb was the only one on board I was hoping there was a quick fix XD

If I'n not mistaking you can edit your crew ingame using mods as Ship Manifest, Crew Manifest.

Although Crew manifest will allow you to change crew on the launchpad; neither of those mods will allow you to change crew after you have launched.

I checked for Ship manifest; you can assign / spawn crew in your vessel when in flight. There's also a settings button in ship manifest's main screen wehere you might want to check first; creative editing stuff like spawning crew midflight might be disabled by default, but the option is very much there. Hope this helps TS or anyone else! Cheers.

Don't actually use the mod, just going off the description on it's release page.

Step 1: Build a command pod
Step 2: Place kerbal inside command pod
Step 3: Launch
Step 4: Alt+F12
Step 5: Rendezvous with your craft
Step 6: EVA kerbal
Step 7: Rejoice
Step 8: Terminate cheat craft.

Be aware....though I'm helping you out I'm tutting severely. I hope by now you fixed it and didn't use this method

Just ended up relaunching. I'm terrible with rendezvous so relaunching was just easier lol.

Not doing it all is a great way to not fix that.

Make lots of crew cabins, hire hundreds of kerbals, throw some engines and tanks on it, hope it makes it to orbit, make a mod do the intercept trajectory, dock to ship. Done :V
