How to fix suspension on landing gear?
My plane just wobbles everywhere with two fixed wheels on the back and the first small suspension landing gear on the front (replacing the basic steerable wheel), are you just supposed to not mix fixed and suspension landing gear or am I doing it wrong?

Enable advanced tweakables in options menu.

Turn spring damper all the way up.

The upcoming patch is going to fix the wobblieness of the starter gear.

The issues with the wheels and legs have also been reviewed for this patch. For instance, 1.4.3 fixes the suspension issue for wheels and legs that made them bounce uncontrollably, as well as the issue that caused legs to explode when these got in contact with the ground in some situations. There has also been a lot of work put into improving the ground positioning routines for landed vessels.

This is great news. At the moment this game is unplayable in early stages with the legs exploding.

Thanks for the help with that friend, it was making my Kerbin missions plane useless since it couldn't land properly. I don't see how suspension settting is really an 'advanced' feature but I digress.

'some situations'? If Jeb sneezes on the landing legs they instantly explode. I've been trying to land on the Mun for an hour. I should have just put landing gear on the lander instead, that would've been easier even with the wobbliness.

Does not work for me. If I place the lander with gear deployed on the launch pad, as soon as the physics fixing is complete, the legs explode! SO nothing to do with speed. Seems like a genuine bug to me.

Ok - first there was no issue prior to the latest update. My landers all worked fine. Second I had a lander on Minimus which has the basic legs, so I have loaded the game up, switched to that lander, fired the engine just slightly, lifted off. Then came down at under 1 m per second, sure enough BOOM! Now there was no isue at all with this lander prior to the upgrade.
If I switch legs to the LT1 - 2 it is ok. It just seems to be the basic legs.

I think I'm just gonna wait for the update.

Look man, all the shilling isn't needed, I still like the game but no, the absurdly low durability of landing legs is a bug not a feature, and it should never have gone so long without being fixed. Easy to say 'oh just land at 1ms' when you have access to the best parts and no budget concerns, plus landing is hard for new players at the best of times, this is just absurd.

I agree it must be a bug, otherwise just loading it on the launchpad with it not moving - would not result in it exploding! And it did not happen prior to the update.
It is not rocket science! As they say.
