Can't get past tutorial mission
There's the second tutorial mission called Basic Flight and every single time I come down form flying up my plane turns over and doesn't slow down and crashes. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

The problem is you don't go straight up.

If you do you go too high and your chute won't open until you are going too fast.

The solution is to turn to the side as soon as you lift off so you don't go too high.

Only time you can go straight up suborbital is if you're doing a full career and start out with the first SRB (solid rocket booster) and deploy your chute when your up at apogee (about 10-15k)

The parachute settings are designed to kill your kerbals unless you go very horizontal, which won't happen on a real mission. Turn down the minimum pressure to the lowest possible value, and it will work fine.

Uninstalled due to the poor implementation of the tutorials.

Totally your loss. This is the defacto standard for this type of game. Like any game, it requires you to learn how to interact with the game controls. If you don't like it, by all means uninstall it. But you are missing out on a fun time.

I am considering reinstalling, however, with a game this complex, it is unacceptable to have this many problems within just the first three tutorials. Learning the controls through the tutorials is great if they are designed correctly.

Unfortunately the dev's broke the tutorials in the later patches, but they can be fixed with this mod:
