Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

Nyan Cat
So as I understand the Nyan cat that is bouncing across the loading screen is because of the mod manager.
This is quite anoying.
I've made some attepts to remove it from the coding, but I am no programmer, and have failed miserably.

SO... What I'm hoping is that there is someone else out there, who has rectified the issue, and can pass along the knowledge on how to remove the cursed rainbow from the screen.

... i don't think anyone has done that (most likely cause they don't feel the need to) i mean is it really that annoying? infact what are you doing looking at the load screen for so long to the point it does annoy you so much that you tried to remove it? i normally, when waiting for KSP to load alt+tab out and look at something else o_o

I thought it was a friendly nod to the first 64 bit version back in 2014. It made me smile.

There was a bit of a tempest on his thread, and as I understand it, he promises it will disappear on Nov 1st and only reappear on April 1st from now on.

It was funny... once. The general opinion was that it was quite a liberty to just add something like that to a mod nobody can do without, and I agree.

Anyway, hopefully it'll be gone in a day or two.

I thought there was an option to disable in the manager, but I wouldn't bet money on that particular memory.

Why do people care so much about a cat during loading?

Don't judge. If it's annoying it's annoying, and nobody asked for it to be there.

I have a lot of mods, so I see the thing a LOT. Gets old. Although, I still laugh every time it flies by one particular loading picture with Jeb looking down with a horrified look on his face, like he just saw a rainbow poptart cat fly by. ^_^

Who says I'm judging? I just asked a question. I had it all the time when I was running the 64bit hack. I don't see why it's such a big deal is all.

I wasn't really intending to be nasty, sorry.
I didn't realize it used to be present in the 64bit hack. Maybe that's why he didn't figure people would mind much.

If it was in some way interfering with gameplay, I would understand all the fuss that got kicked up.

Modders have been doing dumb things for quite some time.

Edit: ...and by dumb I mean silly.

I don't like it because my computer is slow and I have a LOT of mods. I can have the game loading for 10 minutes or more. (I know I need a new computer :D ) I normally read my book while it's loading, but I can always see the screen out of the corner of my eye. When I'm reading, the damnable thing distracts me. As such I want it gone.

And as someone else said, it is a presumptious thing to add to something that you can't do without if you use a mod.

ALT+TAB

You could turn your monitor off...or turn round and read your book so the monitor isn't in view. This guy not only maintained one of the most critical mods for KSP but also put a lot of effort into making 1.2 what it is.

People losing their ♥♥♥♥ over a cat farting a rainbow should be made to watch this from beginning to end.
