It was funny... once. The general opinion was that it was quite a liberty to just add something like that to a mod nobody can do without, and I agree.
Anyway, hopefully it'll be gone in a day or two.
I have a lot of mods, so I see the thing a LOT. Gets old. Although, I still laugh every time it flies by one particular loading picture with Jeb looking down with a horrified look on his face, like he just saw a rainbow poptart cat fly by. ^_^
I didn't realize it used to be present in the 64bit hack. Maybe that's why he didn't figure people would mind much.

Modders have been doing dumb things for quite some time.
Edit: ...and by dumb I mean silly.
And as someone else said, it is a presumptious thing to add to something that you can't do without if you use a mod.
