Report a translation problem
Go to your game location (ie, C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Kerbal Space Program), then the saves folder. Find the name of your save then copy/paste your persistent.SFS file somewhere as a backup.
Open the file in notepad and search for the kerbals name with Ctrl+F (if on Windows).
Look for something like this:
I'm not sure if using the debug menu or setting the "missing kerbals respawn" option on works when they're already dead, but this definitely does.
Uhh, try this: play the game with the save you want to fix, then exit, then check the timestamps to see which save file was just written to. That's the one you want.
