i need help, ksp wont play sound and its not even showing up in the mixer..
the title says it all there isn't much else to say, i have mods but i have used these exact mods before and it worked fine, its not my mods, i swear, and its not "sound devices" because it doesn't show up in the mixer! restarting pc doesn't do crap either

Try a file verify. With game shut down.
Library - right click on game name for Properties - Local Files - Verify

Did you check with the mod dev to see if there is an update?
Otherwise I would suggest a "clean" install ... but it does not sound like you want to do that.

Oh any log file you can check? Might lead you in the right direction.

i just tried a clean install.... just now, now the game is in the sound mixer and up to full volume


BUT i still cant hear anything!

Open task manager, click on the services tab, look for a service called "Nahimic"
If it's running disable it and see if this restores sound in KSP.

do this while ksp is running or not?

nope doesn't work, there is no nahimic im not on a acer laptop like previous people who has problems. im on a desktop

Did you mod your game again?
Did you check basic stuff like it being muted once it showed up?
Have you checked the game logs?
Is there movement on the sound control panel when the game makes sound? Do you see the sound but not hear it?
Are your speakers turned on and turned up?

game is completely unmodded
basic stuff was all checked,
game logs not yet.. i didnt check that yet
there is no movement at all ksp isn't even listed on the sound mixer

ofc they are turned on i can hear any other game
