Ksp stuck at loading 1 part
So, here I am, with 42 mods installed, and not working. Downloaded CKAN to install all of them, ran the x64 version, but nothing really helped. Seen people writing about having 80 or 200 mods installed and game running perfectly fine (not like my english), but like always, I am a special one. So, the mods are : Airplane plus; AoA technologies, and AoA tech. - aviation parts; ASET Agency and Props; B9 aerospace - HX parts pack, legacy parts pack, parts pack, Procedular wings fork, props, anim. modules and part switch; BD armory parts pack and anim. modules; BD armory continued, modular missile parts, armory sorting and mk.22 cockpits; CAL++; C.E.D.A.; filter extensions; Firespitter, its core, extended and resources config; Freedom textures; Interstellar fuel switch core; K.R.X; Kerbal joint reinforcement; modular flight integrator; Module manager; NSI; physics range extender; Procedular parts; Raster prop monitor and its core; Real plume and its stock config; Red vs Blue; smokescreen; solver engines plugin; tweakscale. Gosh this was long list. My pc - r5 2600x, 16gb ram 3000mhz, 1060 6gb, and game is on 7200rpm hdd. All mods are latest aviable in CKAN, of course some for ksp 1.3, and some for latest ones like 1.9 and 1.10. Would really appreciate if someone would manage to tell me how the hell it is possible to play with 20+ mods? P.S. - everything was working perfectly fine until I installed NSI.

One of the main reasons for crashing with modded KSP just after loading and trying to run the first menu is because of "Eye Candy" mods.

The reason for this is that as you are loading the game static screen shots are displayed, once the loading is finished the game creates an actual 3d game environment to show the main menu.

Any mod that adds Planets, Moons, Space suits, visual effects (Lens flare, Glow, Clouds, City lights etc.), Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) & Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) can crash the game before/at the main menu.

[KAS/KIS add backpacks to the Kerbals on the main menu]

In that wall of text I didn't notice any Eye candy mods, but I might have missed them.

Ok what version of the game are you using, (You stated that some of the mods go back as far as Ver. 1.3)

When modding it *IS* possible to use older versions of mods *BUT* the rule of thumb is not to go back more then 2 major versions.

If you are running 1.10.x then it's best for your mods to be 1.8.x and later.

If I remember correctly (Someone will let us know if I get it wrong) version 1.4 was the change to 64 bit KSP, so if you are running ver. 1.3 mods then they are 32 bit mods.

From the looks of the mod list, you are trying to set up a BD Armory game.
First try removing the BD amory stuff and just load the airplane & Utility mods.
If it loads then start adding in the BD stuff a mod at a time & see where it crashes.

best technique ive found yet for troubleshooting any game with mods...

take ALL the mods out
add 1 mod
test game
rinse repeat until you have all your mods or you find the one that makes you crash

its a pain to have to reload and reload and reload
but the process of elimination is your friend ;o)

sidenote:
outdated mods CAN work but are often the root cause of most of our issues

good luck brother

1.10.1 and yes my main aim is to setup KSP so I can build fighters and strategic bombers. Had built them quite a lot 2 years back. I will try removing pre 1.4 mods and see how it works out.

Fast update to everyone who had same problem - I deleted all pre 1.4 mods and game launched. I will investigate further to see which mod was the one who did this kind of bull***t.
