Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

Is the DLC worth purchasing?
Just wanted to know what to expect - reviews are really mixed and I'm not sure if I should buy it now or wait a bit for some patches. I hate glitches and bugs so I'll probably do the latter.

It depends on your situation too. I would have bought the DLC just to support the developers. I really believe in this game and feel it is in the top 5 of my library so I definitely would have bought it.

As for bugs I am not finding nearly as many bugs now that I have installed the DLC as there was in the 1.4 update a week previously.

To truly decide if the DLC is worth it I would consider these factors
1. Do I want to support the developers

2. Do I feel that adding historical parts from past space missions adds a lot more to the game
(I answered no to this as it was not all that important to me although some of the parts are really
cool)

3. Is building my own missions and things something I would enjoy doing
(I answered no to this because I like the vanilla game and the challenges it brings)

4. Do you want to re-live the glory days of the space program and fly the missions that have been pre-built that accomplish mun landings with historical parts.
(This was pretty cool to me and definitely an additional feature I would really enjoy but not worth
the full price of the DLC)

Unless I 100% agreed to the first reason I would not buy the DLC until it came out on sale.

That is just my personal opinion.

It has not crashed once for me. You sure your running the 64 exe and not clicking on the 32 by mistake?

Crashed for me because I clicked the 32bit option. When I noticed the two options switched places the crashes stopped. Never crashed again.

I have the same issue. I do think developers of this game are worth support of course and I also know part of this money went towards Unity update and some other things.

But...
none of what is in this DLC interests me at all to be honest. I'm not a big fan of history as this is not the real universe and the challenges aren't really new or historical in the end.
And they haven't added anything of what I have ever asked about. MK3, 3.75m reaction wheels, docking ports, probe cores, batteries, 3.75m service/cargo bays, larger wings, wings, wings, universal tanks (Lf in 2.5m?), adjustable heat resistance in the same way on some parts (mass vs. permanent "ablator")...
...additional handle to move nodes around on orbits softly irrespective of zoom level like you can use all other handles, "hidden" targets on NavBall hovering on the respective border so you know which direction you have to roll to get to Normal or Waypoint not looking at planet...
...not sure about if there is one in DLC - vacuum engine between Poodle and Rhino (~750kN?)...

Mission builder is slightly stale for now and people have been creating challenges for years. Plus as I hear there are some issues with bugs in general not solved yet.

So there seems to be nothing at all for me personally. And while I do love KSP, I kind of can't find much in return in this case. I just hope there are enough guys loving history and my "love" will find better luck elsewhere. 15$ is slightly too much for a single dance where I live.
"You are too good for me, KSP, I wish you all the luck... " :steammocking:

for now.
