The Warp Drives here work like the purposed Alcubierre Drive. But only within the solar system.
Seriously though, I use KSS which adds several star systems in (and changes the old Sun into "The All" as apparently the game requires the old Sun to exist in the center of the universe in some shape, manner, or form), but when I tried to make the several hundred year journey to The All (Jeb is really long lived since I haven't been able to figure out a comm network to send probes.) without using Rover's warp drive I made it roughtly 1/2 there before realizing that I needed to make a 42 day burn to get into orbit and gave up.
*edit*
And the "orbit" was still ~30 Tkm.
You dont just go there all Enterprise like and be in an orbit. Using the purposed method means carrying your bubble of space with you- and keeping your velocity. And thus your relative velocity.
In relation to a common point of orientation. So going from Mün to Minmus in relation to Kerbin, from Kerbin to Eve in relation to Kerbol.
And if Kerbin is at 6 o clock, and eve at 12, landing at eve means this purple ball will come at you with a speed of about the combined solar orbital velocity of Eve and Kerbin :D
You can learn about gravity and such relations from that. And: Dont burn (where did you get all that fuel anyways? oO) In the forementioned example- park your ship at the half past 2 o clock position and let Kerbols gravity accelerate you into the right direction.
In all seriousness though, it sounds like the Warp Bubble isn't really compatable with KSS is it?
