Lack of RAM won't typically affect your FPS, if you run out; you crash. Simple as that.
Mods do stuff like function calls, calculations, etc.. these all add to the workload of your CPU and KSP is already extremely intensive in that regard; especially because it doesn't benefit from multiple cores very much.
Never hurts, true that.
Was afraid of that. My CPU from what i can tell is the worse piece of hardware in this Laptop.
Intel Core i5 4210M @ 2.60GHz I believe it's only duel core.
And unfortunantly there's no upgrading that.
Thanks for the reply.
Have you tried turning up your max physics delta time in gameplay options?
It will basically "stretch" time out and make each second longer whenever the game needs to, in order to keep FPS stable. Should help some if you crank it up to max. My only other suggestion is to keep your mod list light. Avoid anything that sounds like it'd be doing a lot of calculations. (Stuff like parts, and graphics mods are generally ok though.)
Ps.: This mod reduces the sttutering/lags but at memory cost, then maybe you will need more memory
Thanks man, i'll give it a try.
It's mostly part mods like the Near future mods and then things like Docking port alignment, Tweakscale, Kerbal Engineer etc. Whatever they'd fall under.
