I don't have the problem but some say that certain Nvidia software can block Alt F12

Try Ctrl Alt F12 maybe?

I have had the same problem before i found it because the stage launch sequence is lock and you can lock or unlock it with a button look in the keyboard buttons to find the stage lock or unlock ok I was scared the first time to but it's good now the little green or purple light by stage is what u need to look at if it's purple then it's locked and you need to unlock it with the button you have set to it ok hope it helps From Nicklenaut Corporations

If Alt-F12 does not allow access to the debug/cheat menu, then when you hit ESC, at the bottom of the pop-up menu screen is a link "Version info..." that will open the menu.

Having the same issue, due to NDVIA softare. It happens because NVDIA does already have a shortcut with alt-F12 as default. Just try using Alt Gr + F12, that worked for me

The Nvidia software referred to is Geforce Experience. If you have it then hit Alt+z to open it. Choose settings(gear icon) and then Keyboard Shortcuts. Look for the Alt+F12 shortcut(FPS Counter) and click it. It will turn green. Then just hit another key combination to change it. I used Alt+Pause/Break key.

U.S. keyboards don't have an AltGr key. You have to use other methods to get things like € £ é ñ ä .

For the ALTernate way to access the debug menu, use <ESC>, the <ESC> menu has a line at the very bottom about the version or something that brings up the <ALT> F12 Debug/Cheat stuff

Try Fn+Alt+F12
