Correcting incoming inclination?
So I'm coming in from duna to enter kerbin, and I'm trying to dock with sci-lab there at a usual 90 degree orbit. I've corrected my inclination so my AN/DN are at 0 in kerbol orbit, but I'm coming in at an angle to kerbin. I'm trying to figure out when is best to correct this, or will I just have to do a heavy burn to fix it at kerbin? I'm not sure what to burn at, doing radial in/out is not doing much.

Currently orbiting kerbol near duna, and most tweaks are costing very little dv, so I'm guessing it's best to fix this here.

Create a manevour node and play around with it. The easiest way is to make sure than your DN/AN is nearly sitting on top of the same spot you will intercept Kerbin. That will ensure that you come in at the smallest angle possible.
The problem is that even though your DN/AN say “0” you are actually off by a fraction of a degree, which throws you off by a fair amount when intercepting the planet.

To fix that you can also place another manevour node at the next DN/AN in solar orbit and adjust it until it JUST starts flipping on you. That means it is very close to 0. You can then do another node to fix your intercept with the planet, if need be.

Hmmm. Yeah maybe it's not possible, since I'm a little past the DN/AN in kerbol orbit? Not exactly a guru here.

In any case, I realized I could check how bad it is by setting target on the station instead of kerbin. This isn't too bad, I minimized it to 7.5% while in kerbol orbit, and it's only 250 d/v to fix on the node there. So I'm just going to go with that.

That said, I'm not sure if I should be fixing it before aerobraking or after. But I think I'll just go for what I've got since 250 is good enough for me.
