How can i set what engine i want a fuel tank to be used for?
Im using the fuel boosters that you start with for a mission where i have to take a liquid fuel engine into sapce with me, but i cant get that high since the fuel tanks are saving themselves for the liquid fuel engine instead of the fuel boosters that i want them to be used on. Can i set a target?

Also, if you're referring to solid rocket boosters, there's no changing their flow, or getting fuel from or to other tanks. (since it's solid) :)

Not sure I red it right, but you can activate advanced tweakables in options and then set different tank priorities. You also have to allow crossfeed on decouplers for fuel to flow accross from radial to core.
Thanks, i turned it on but i dont think thats it. What i mean is that i want the fuel tanks to be used by my fuel boosters, but the liquid engine uses it instead, even if i have the tanks attached to the fuel boosters.

Do as @RoofCat said and turn on advanced tweakables . When you right click a fuel tank you can turn on the Fuel Flow Overlay which does just what it sounds like.

You are talking about fueling a solid booster with liquid fuel right?
Please uninstall KSP, you are not prepared.

What this friendly gentleman means is that boosters use solid fuel, not an oxidizer/liquid fuel mix which normal engines do. The chances are your boosters cannot use that fuel because its not compatible.

Also: If the fuel is compatible, then make sure you have fuel lines running from those tanks to the boosters, and the direction and priority is set through advanced tweakables. Fuel cannot run through all the types of decouplers and may require you to create a fuel supply link manually.

He never said anything about solid boosters, in real life the first stage of a rocket is called the Booster Stage no matter what fuel you use.

What are those then?

It also fits the problem.

Nvm. Turns out that you can use the first fuel tanks you get with the solid fuel boosters, only the liquid engines.

You can set priority on the tanks so one set drains first before the other. It should mostly solve your problem unless you're frequently switching back and forth from liquid to LF/O.

First, second, last, there are no fuel tanks for solid fuel boosters. It's simply not physically possible.

Please uninstall, you will save us and yourself a world of pain.
Dang. Sorry I have like 15 hours in the game, and I thought that you could use the fuel tanks with the solid boosters. "Auhhh, actually, you can't use fuel tanks with solid fuel boosters, and if you weren't a complete idiot you would've known that. I don't care that you just started playing this game, get on my level, kid" Your also the guy who told me to uninstall the game before instead of actually trying to help me, haha. Get your toxicity out of here, and get out of the steam forums if your not going to help people.

not really, and i wouldnt have to post multiple threads if people like you actually helped.

Thing is, and this will be a shocker to your snowflaky self but: no one here cares for you, you are posting multiple threads because of willful ignorance and lazyness, and that is why you have to post so many threads.

People with legit questions get legit answers, lazy bungholes get told to use their own brains, it is simple, practically newtonian.

Yeah, the answer to his problem was answered by me and multiple others. Solid Fuel <> Liquid Fuel. Yet this has turned into some sort of troll thread where the OP is ignoring the answers and saying no one is helping him/her/xer.

If we insult him, that wont help either. Let the "snowflake" melt on the pavement.

I mean, I'm not a rocket scientist or anything but the threads look like different questions to me, I'm not the one getting my panties in a wad
