Cant do anything after tab out and back in

Hi, Im new. This game seems complicated, so i google a lot for some answers. But very often after i minimize game and go back after, i can only right click or turn camera. Game wont respond to anything else, not even ESC works. Happens both at full-screen or window mode.
Any workaround?

I get the same problem after a while of playing but I use a lot of mods.
The only solution I found was to restart the game.

You can avoid exiting the game window by using the Steam overlay to check the internet for answers.

try using the steam in-game browser - Shift+Tab then click on the web browser link. you then get a chrome based web browser windows, which will do anything a regular browser will do, except download stuff. You coan search, play video, watch streams, etc.

that suggestion aside, only problem i have with Alt+Tab is KSP keeps reverting to using the native resolution of 1680x945, which is different from what i set it for - 1280x720.

why it's not working for you could be a video driver related issue.

Cool, game just did it to me when i only hit ESC, checked bindings, went beck to game...and cant do anything. im really tired of doing every tutorial 20 times becouse of this.
I can control my SAS with mouse, and thats about everything i can do... time is frozen

BTW can you save during your flight? If not, i can just uninstall, this bug is gamebreaking. Shame i played too much to get refund.

You could try launching the game in a borderless window. Add -popupwindow to the launch commands.

I know you said in the OP that you tried window mode, but eh.
Worth a shot.

Also, you can save with F5 and load with F9. Ctrl + F5 will make named saves, Ctrl + F9 will load a specific save.
