need help with rotation servo use on build

So.... I am trying to build a ducted fan aircraft. final design has not been finished, but i have run into an issue where either i am doing something wrong, or I have encountered something that's broken. I am trying to use a couple of rotation servos to control pitch. I can attach them properly and they seem to be working in the hangar, but when i go to the runway the ducted fan attached to the rotation servo is no longer able to rotate. the servo till rotates, but the ducted fan is no longer attached to the node that it was attached to in the hangar. Am i doing something wrong? or is this a bug?

keep in mind that this is far from the final design. and while it *can* go airborne, it is a very short flight, becsause there are no flight controls yet. this is what the rotation servos would be used for, assuming i can get them to work right.

thought i should mention.... shift/control is throttle for fan motor, and pitch control *should* be controlling the rotation servos, causing the fans to rotate (w & s keys)
