Loading stuck at "Loading Asset Bundle Definitions"
It just gets stuck whenever it gets there, I tried reinstalling and verifying.

Did you properly reinstall? IE delete the entire Kerbal folder before reinstalling?

I've had the same problem. I haven't played in a while, and about a week ago I opened the game. It loaded successfully and I could see the menu screen and stuff. When I loaded a save file, the game crashed, and I've started running into this problem. I've tried both properly and improperly reinstalling, I did the "Verify Integrity of Game Files" thing before and after everything else I've tried. I have a little less than 8 GB of RAM, but it used to run on this same machine just fine. No mods, just pure vanilla. Just waiting for it to load doesn't work; after three hours there was absolutely no progress, and my computer isn't that slow.
I just tried a proper reinstall, and I opened it from launcher.exe instead of through steam. That didn't make a difference.

Update: I don't know what I did, but after waiting a while (but not nearly as long as I have previously waited to no avail), it loaded. It took about 45 minutes of loading asset definitions.

In my case loading of KSPedia modules took more than half an hour, so I just deleted KSPedia folders from "steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\..." as I don't use it anyway.
