Dress or Moho?
I'm new to KSP, as well as to interplanetary travels. I managed to get to Duna, Ike and Gilly. And i want to fly further, but i don't know which planet is easier- Dress or Moho? Can you tell me this?

If I remember correctly, Dres has a really cool event that pops up when you have a craft enter its SOI (won't spoil) but nobody goes to dres except my one orbiter probe apparently.

You forgot to mention Eve, but that's a toughie to get off of, if you plan on using probes then parachutes and heatshields can do fine.

Moho isn't special at all, it's got a nice view of Kerbol, has the Mohole, but otherwise is just a discount Mercury.

I'd go to Dres with at least a probe to see the event, Eve to challenge your knowhow on launch vehicles, or Moho for a run-of-the-mill mission.

Dres is easier no doubt but nobody goes to Dres.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Jool, no doubt. Most entertaining system. Dead easy to hit.

Dres and Moho are boring far "muns".
Moho has slight challenge for medium experience players if you try to do it without nukes and xenon. Beginner challenge choosing the right intercept position. And that's about it.

Dres has nothing at all. It was sort of special in older versions having asteroids - the second place besides near Kerbin sol, but these days you can have asteroids everywhere. It's just a tilted rock in space. Kind of entertaining doing 6 body flyby contracts with minimum burns due to that incline and eccentricity. For those who enjoy node and slingshot manipulation.

Yeah, Eve is really hard to land on, so this is the reason i did not mention it. First 20 minutes i tried to find a way to enter its atmosphere and dont durn, then my craft was uncontrolable coz of REALLY dense atmosphere, so i decided to go somewhere else. I think it would be Dres, because i heard that it take less Delta-V to fly to.

I am not gonna have problem with interception i got Precise manuever and Transfer window planner mod. I can just coppy manuever node from TWP and insert in precise manuover and it will create a manuever that is needed to encounter planet.

Jool is far more fun indeed. You cant land on it but you can pick a moon for that. I cant remember if i ever went to Dres haha.

you would have to try really hard to miss Jool while it is ~90° ahead of Kerbin. It's probably harder to miss than Mun. It has huge gravity and clean orbit. It's like using mod just to launch straight up :D

Well, i ment NOT Jool, i ment Dres or Moho

Yeah, its more interesting, but i want to visit every planet and moon

Yeah, its more interesting, but i want to visit every planet and moon and build a base there

Ah, in that case i would pick Moho first. If you manage landing and returning to Kerbin you can use that design to easily go to Dres or other bodies.
