How can I time warp under acceleration?

You can do up to 4x physical time warp. Press alt+. to increase it.

The game doesn't know what to do when you try warping while accelerating.
Time warp switches the game from full on physics simulation to being totally on rails so any major acceleration will prevent time warp.

Physical time warp is the only way around this but be careful with it.
It only goes up to 4x time warp and it's very easy to break your ship if you leave it there too long.
My stuff at least has a habit of wobbling at 4x time warp.

What do you mean by 'physical time warp', Jupe?

When you hold Alt and use < or > you can go up to x4 "physical" timewarp.

The main difference between "physical" timewarp and regular, is that regular is "on-rails" Ie. your craft is essentially "packed up" and experiences no physics effects.

Under physical time warp, physics are still calculated; which can lead to some very unexpected results as your computer struggles to calculate fast enough; use with caution. Auto struts are your friend. You can do things in this mode you can't usually do in time warp as well; like control your craft, thrust engines, etc...

Physics time warp has KSP run 2x, 3x or 4x faster.
Exactly what it sounds like.

Wow.

it may lag your computer or break ships, so be careful
