How do I set the action group and save it?
I think all youtube videos are from a different version of the game.

In the VAB or SPH, look at the blue buttons on the upper bar. The second one from that search bar opens up your action group stuff. From there you select groups, parts, and what those parts should do when the group is activated.

If you are playing career you won’t unlock custom action groups until one of the buildings is upgraded.
