Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program

Firespitter is broken.
Any alternatives that provide propellors?

Latest release is for 1.4.1. Is that the one you are trying?

Should prolly work?

I'll try it again I guess. Current KSP version is 1.4.4, is it not?

Yeah, but the majority of mods aren't that sensitive to small version changes.

Some mods from back in 1.3 days still work fine for example. Depends on the mod.

Worth a shot.

That use to be the case, before Take-Two bought out Squad. Now KSP uses strict version control and will not allow any mod that is not up-to-date with the current version. It will still load the mod (some times), but it will not function.

The NearFutureSolar mod which was updated for KSP 1.4.3, for example, will load and display all the solar panels, but when you use them none of them work because it is not written specifically for KSP 1.4.4.

Take-Two has made KSP into a very mod unfriendly game.

That's completely false, I'm still using mods from back in 1.2 days on my 1.4.4 install lol.

As always, it depends on the mod, what it does, and how it's coded.

Stop making crap up. You look foolish.

Boy, Take-Two must be paying you a great deal to lie so profusely. No mod that has not been specifically updated to the current version will work in KSP. Sometimes they load, but they never work. It has been that way since version KSP 1.4.

I make mods myself, and I haven't changed one single thing about them since I intitially created them besides updating their version numbers on the release page.

It's the exact same mod, the exact same code, that I wrote back in 1.3.1 days. Still works fine. As do many other mods; some of which I still use personally.

What do you think you'll gain by lying?

Cripes! I was still using the old 1.2 version of Planetshine on 1.4.4 with no problems what so ever till yesterday. Lol!

Here's another fellow who posted just half an hour ago who seems to be getting along just fine with outdated mods.
