Screenshot of plane?

The steering wheel doesn't have brakes, only the fixed landing gear. And depending on how heavy your aircraft is, braking may take a little bit

the plane is very light. basically that smallest you could build. I have the fixed gear. when im going like .3 ms and holding the brake it still doesnt stop me.

Just to make sure, you keep pressing the B key, right? Just tapping it once doesn't togggle the brakes on, it just brakes as long as you hold B down (you can toggle them on by clicking on the brake icon in the UI). If you're not slowing down enough with the brakes toggled on, you can increase the brakes strength via the wheels right-click menu.

I select it with the mouse before landing, top middle view. this keeps the breaks on it helps but its not a ton like you would expect.
later on you will get the reverse engines. Helps even more.

I play the same way no mods and career 100% everything. breaks are important but if you land next to the air field then taxi on it is the same as landing on it; right?. landing gear is a must upgrade one time. after you get good, landing on the runway is nothing.

its really about your speed and decent.

If i use any mods its mcjeb and kerbal enginering. they dont help as much as ppl say its the delta v and the ability to keep the plane level on long flights time warp, are the most important. All new builds go to the spread sheet first it tells me what i need though ever per 1km atm. Its not 100% but good enough for KSP :steamhappy:

Thanks for the info. I try to land at about 100 ms but my plan can take off at 75 ms, I’ll try landing closer to that speed.

Also I haven’t tried adjusting the brakes so I’ll check that out as well.

You don't need to. Make sure your plane isn't too heavy.
