Get the demo and find out!

(I think you'll be able to play, but at low settings.)
demo Mar 13, 2018 @ 6:12pm
MINIMUM:
OS:Windows Vista SP1
Processor:Core 2 Duo
Memory:3GB RAM
Graphics:DX10 (SM 4.0) capable, 512MB VRAM
Hard Drive:4 GB HD space

RECOMMENDED:
OS:Windows 10 64 bit
Processor:Core i5
Memory:4 GB RAM
Graphics:DX10 (SM 4.0) capable, 1GB VRAM
Hard Drive:6 GB HD space
64-BIT VERSION RECOMMENDED

You should have no problem running it judging by your specs.

Very unlikely it will run well or in realtime.

Your processor is an entry level mobile model and incredibly underpowered for a physics simulation like KSP, you're nowhere near the minimum, let alone the recommended specs. From experience, laptops rarely perform well in KSP - as someone with an i7 ivy bridge macbook -
because the game runs at high intensity (anytime you're in flight mode) for a relatively long, uninterrupted period of time, leading to heat buildup and throttling or your processor and graphics card to prevent thermal damage. Laptops, especially the entry level models that would be equipped with your specs, are not designed for high thermal load. AMD processors also underperform in anything math heavy (like KSP) because of their lack of multiple Floating Point Units.

The R5 is exceptionally weak, but, KSP isnt graphics heavy, so as long as you stick to stock and are willing to take a hit on resolution its probably fine.

Ram will be a major issue if you mod, but 8gb is good for stock.

Nonetheless, your processor will make the game unplayable.

TL;dr
Don't buy, it won't run well and you'll likely experience severe lag, choppiness and overheating, especially once part counts go up.

Do what chibbity suggested, try the demo. You`ve got nothing to lose by that.

Everything this guy said^

However I'd like to add that I played KSP for a long time on an extremely underpowered laptop at somewhere in the 15-20 frames per second region.

It really depends on how bad you want to play it, it's not Counter Strike, you don't need 60 fps. However he's right; it's gonna play like crap most likely, whether you'll find it to be worth playing anyways is the question.
