Im thinking of buying the game still even though policies like the new EULA are bad. People are often using other software or games with the same policy but dont realize it.

In this case the new EULA doesnt matter because KSP is a single player game. Soooo

- open windows firewall
- advanced options
- create new outbound data rule for KSP.exe or whatever it is
- block all connection options to keep my data safe
- profit?

Are there any mods that require constant online connectivity?

None.

Just remember that Steam utilizes a crap ton more data about you than KSP ever thought to collect.

To be perfectly safe, you should delete your Steam account entirely as well. Also, never use a browser to access the web again.

And for the record, Samsa, the game only transmits anonymous usage and debug data.

I dont think its wrong to select which companies you want to have access to your information, however benign the access might be edorward.

PolecatEZ i couldnt understand the part after "None", It just says trololol on my screen after that. Are you sure about the mods? There must be a version checker or mod manager that needs it?
PolecatEZ May 31, 2018 @ 12:11pm
Yes, but that's not the mod itself. That's a mod manager (CKAN?). Mods may also do version checks, but they'll function just fine without a connection.

Nothing forces you to have an internet connection. You can sit alone in the woods in your log cabin in Siberia with nothing but a laptop and copy of KSP and your favorite mods to keep you company.

You might want to look at DMP[d-mp.org] and its successor, LMP.[lunamultiplayer.com]

It's also been part of Squad's addon posting rules[forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com] ever since the ModStatistics[forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com] firestorm, that any mod that connects to the Internet must tell you about it.

The mod that checks for updates for mods uses the internet... to check for updates for mods.
