WTF is with the new EULA?
With all the talk of KSP turning into the new "illuminati spying machine" i was just sitting on my chair wondering.
Is the new EULA even legal?
And then i made this thread to ask you all about it.

Yes; its perfectly legal, at least in the US; and if I were to wager I'd bet that its also legal in the EU.

I ask myself the same question. It's like buying a car at the dealership and a year later they tell you they want your dirty underwear or else they will be forced to dismantle your car's engine.

So the publishers are actually allowed to collect really personal, and private information ranging from "your crib" to "your whole future" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'ell.
Are there any articles about this being legal?

Well; ignoring for the moment that Take(2) and KSP isn't DOING any of that the general answer is yes, provided you agree to give them that right.

If you have a problem with the new EULA, you're just being a dramatic child. Pretty sure it's as simple as that.

The problem with the EULA is that it's literal spyware nobody wants to give their very personal info to corporations. Even if they're trying to do it to "improve" your experience, the things they ask for just seem a tad bit strange for a video game.

It's not spyware....... None of the active members of this forum/community recognize KSP as spyware, and I assure you anyone saying it is spyware is some random troll or idiot like yourself.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal with the new law in Europe, that almost all compagnies have to review their ToS

Sorry for being rude Morgan, but this stupid "spyware" thing with KSP is what happens when people talk without reading.

You have to read both the EULA and the Privacy Policy in order to get an understanding of what is actually being collected and why. ... Also bare in mind that Take(2) uses the same boilerplate language for all of thier games, including ones that are multiplayer with mircotransactions.

Then make a complaint; although the odds that Take(2)'s eula/privacy policy isn't in complaince with the new EU law is ... slim.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the eulas for the rest of your games because the eula is bog standard.

So it's just overblown to hell? I feel stupid as hell right now. I assumed that Taketwo turned KSP into "spyware" because of the complaints that the game is getting with the EULA being invasive.
