Why did my solar panels break?
So I was approaching my laythe base with a rover, everything goes right UNTIL when I got about 100m away some of the solar panels and radiators on the base broke! Is there a mod that lets me fix them? And is there a reason this happened or was it just a kraken attack?

You got into physics range, and the base "jumped?"

There are mods that let you make repairs yeah; like KIS/KAS.

Engineers can repair solar panels.

They can fix any part that is broken but still attached, any part you can still right click on.

This is one of the things about KSP that doesnt really work that well. In 2000 hrs I have only had one part "break" that was repairable. And that was on a rover doing 30m/s on the Mun.

Actually they can repair landing legs and wheels. That's it.

Solar panels and antennas are the only parts your engineer can't fix.

You can add thermal control systems to that list of unfixable items.

Probably easier just to stick with the few things they can repair--wheels and gear.
