That's the core mod but it does not provide anything "out of the box". For configs and masks that make it do its thing...

Hopefully that post is clear enough in what you need. Results...

That's not to say TU is problem free either..

...so, currently parachutes are not covered by the recolour pack along with some other parts.
Some things to note, if you use planet shine, I'm not sure how nicely it plays with TU. Same for Windowshine (essentially Texture Replacers reflection module applied to parts). It is also very much at a "just get recolour working" stage. Plenty of things to improve, balance and add but for the most part, it works.
Edit: It just occured to me I should probably add this. Once everything is installed to access the recolouring...
1) Place part in editor.
2) Right click on part. The part menu should now have a "slider" that allows you to select different schemes for either the whole model, or where available, specific parts of the model.
3) The recolour masks should currently be the last option on the slider.
4) When the recolour mask is selected, a new button will appear to open the recolour GUI.
5) Open the recolour GUI and go wild.
Special note: Some parts have a "blanket" tinting option too. The masked option should display "Masked Tint" in the texture switching slider when selected.
A lot has changed since then. What with Squad adding variants and then altering the models and textures of numerous parts, it's all probably broken and I have not found the time to keep configs and masks updated.
