Report a translation problem
The easiest way I've found to copy one or more parts in vehicle assembly is like this:
1) Click the part of the rocket you want to copy, move it a little to the side so it's not connected to the rocket, click again to leave it hanging in space like a ghost.
2) Alt-click the ghost. Then you will have a copy of whatever part(s) you separated stuck to your mouse cursor, which you can put back where you got it or a different place, but you also still have the ghost assembly hanging in space where you can alt-click it again for more copies, or add it back to the ship.
