Scansat help with 1.6

if anyone has used this before. anyone know why it wont show any colors for different resources when i filter them? i have the resource and the regular scanner so i should be getting the resource info but it just never shows anything more than different shades of black.

Having the scanner is one thing, performing the scan another. Depending on parts used they might even require different altitudes to do so.

Sounds as if you got a radar scan, but no biome scan here.
Rightclick the part, it should tell you about the altitude.

okay so i NEED biome scanner just to do ore scans? meh il just throw em all on this satellite and go from there. i also did read the best altitudes and have one going in an almost sun synchronous orbit at about 156k and 157k and one in polar orbit at 150k and 151k so il just drop those and put a slightly larger more permanent one with all of the scanners

For ores you need the M700. You may want to disable Stock scanning in Scansat settings, otherwise the M700 scan will complete immediately, unlike biome and altitude scans.
