Robotic parts???
Well update is here... the do not exist humm why?

What are you talking about?

Robotics aren't basic parts? The entire point of the DLC is to add robotic parts, the stock game update has nothing to do with that. There are no robotics in the stock game, that's why they made the DLC. How is it impossible to play without robotics lol? We've only been doing it for the past decade or so.

If you didn't understand that, you've been living under a rock in a cave on the moon, with your hands over your ears.

It doesn't seem like Squad are the brainless ones. I assume you don't have the DLC, therefor do not have the contents of the DLC, correct? this seems pretty obvious.

I have dozens of Mun bases and I don't have the DLC.

Stop exaggerating because you're salty that you completely misunderstood what was going on with the patch vs. the DLC.

Anything you land on the Mun and leave there qualifies as a base lol.

Why would you need a crane? Why would you need to build it at all? Just send it in one piece. We won't even get into the concept of stock skycranes as clearly that's above your capabilities.

If you want a crane so badly buy the DLC or go download any of the several free mods that can do the same thing. What are you like 12? Explain what you think you need a crane for in the stock game to complete stock objectives and I'll explain to you why you're wrong.

People think a crane makes things so much more easy. While usually, it does not. The contrary.
Proper Docking ports, a way to dispose of no longer used parts and adjustable wheels however...

And talking about mods:
With the right mods you even see that athmosphere, as a layer of dust on the surface, more dense within craters.
So its kinda foggy at my east farside crater base that produces nitrogen and methane. Talking about lander farts... :D

Oh and: A base may "look nice", properly making use of one however requires several kind of advanced concepts and skills. Like rover construction and guidance. You surely wont want to search for a proper spot with 5 m/s or hundreds of probes. Or precision landings. Really really precise. 10 cm precise. From orbit. Vtol creation and controls most likely too to put things into place. Docking will be your daily bread n butter. In orbit. Did i mention docking? In the next orbit. 2-4 times per turn. And while sleeping you will dream of DeltaV-calculations.

TLDR: Get a claw or get the mod KIS.

the thing is you can't even make a "good" crane with the dlc, there are no ropes and stuff like in KAS
