How to move camera closer to ship in editor?
How do i move my ship closer to the camera in the builder?

I can barely see it on the other side of the hanger, let alone work on it. The camera only spins or moves up and down, and the ship only moves in 2-Ds also, none of which bring it closer. Couldn't find any answers in controls or help.

want to like this game but little things make it diffcult. Like why am I zoomed out and on opposite site of planet every time I open Map?

Hit the middle mouse button to zoom in in VAB, or to move around in SPH.

The map should be centered at your craft. From above and...well, i actually dunno where the planet would usually be, not that it ever mattered. Rightclick aim, and honestly in most cases seeing the opposite face of the planet would even be nice to have. Thats where im aiming at for a deorbit anyways oO.

+ to zoom in - to zoom out

I think it is the Shift key that gives you an alternate set of controls over the camera when it is held down (Shift+RMB= x/z panning?)

I prefer WASD camera editor.

Flying around in first person is much more intuitive imo.

in VAB zoom is + and - on Numpad to not mess up brains (or Shift+mouse wheels too iirc)

in SPH you also want to use Shift+drag with right mouse key. You can move from close zoom on plane nose to as close view on the tail, left, right, up and down, zoom... do a lot of things, just rotating the view and dragging around in the direction you need. A bit messy at times, but basically you can focus on anything anywhere because of that.
Here Shift+wheel works opposite to VAB iirc - moving up and down, while without Shift it zooms.
