KER is now different--missing information in flight
I've been away for many months. Just loaded KSP 1.8 and updated Kerbal Engineering Redux (KER) to 1.1.7. It now seems to only have the info while building a ship in the hanger. At launch and in flight there is no information. I've clicked on the KER button, but nothing shows up. What am I missing? I really miss the info on where I am and absolutely necessary info to land on a surface.

KER will show in-flight data if you:
  • Have an engineer aboard.
  • Have a certain part attached to the rocket.
  • Have a certain building upgraded to a certain level.

On the landing part you can click the button on the altimeter to change to height over land instead of height over sea level. Makes landing easier.

There's also a button below the map button that lets you see your apogee and perigee and orbital period in flight.

Andylaugel: I'll see if another upgrade to the flight control center works.
Shekstyle: Thanks, I've discovered those things, but I sure miss all the other info KER used to show, such as heat and suicide burn, etc.

The solution was to open the KER settings in the hanger and change from Career to Partless. Now it is back to all the info I need and want at launch and flight.
By the way, KER is now updated to 1.1.7.1
