easy early career science
There's an pretty easy way of getting lots of science in early career, and you don't even need to get off ground. Each of the facilities at KSP is considered a separate biome. That means if you can take crew, EVA, science jr. goo, temp, and pressure report at every one of them and get science for each. Just make a jet cart loaded with the instruments and have a scientist(because they can reset experiment) drive it around the base and collecting information. might need batteries and antenna to transmit the crew reports at each spot, since they don't stack.

Cool! Didn't actually know that!

You can also upgrade astro complex so whilst you doing this so you can Eva. And research complex for surface samples at each site

not sure if it's still this way, but actually touching the buildings / flag counts as a seperate experiement... ie: you get science from the VAB area, and different science from touching the VAB building with your vehicle.

It is but not every separate building has their own biome. There's a list somewhere on the net that lists all the KSC biomes and science you can collect. I think you can get like 200+ science once all the buildings are upgraded, so it's pretty handy.

Use a scientist indeed and build your rover so he/she can take the science and reset all experiments without even leaving the rover saves alot of time and you can get it all in one go.

Ive done it with landing legs and an -45 engine.

cool

I dumped a lab in the parking lot just to minimise all my walking 8-)

researching the first wheels is very easy and fast and from there on you can just build "something" that can drive a few meters around the KSC to gather science. i dont think its necessary to walk anywhere really.

Yeah I usually wait till I have the first set of landing gear and then make a "rocket car" to drive around and gather up all the science at the KSC.

Screw walking lol.

Wait...if you have Science Lab unlocked through "Advanced Exploration" then you have to have
the small rover wheels unlocked via "Space Exploration." So why would you be walking if you have rover wheels? Not to mention you would likely have landing gear by then?

I mean there is literally no way around that node to get Science Labs?

my ksp is in a window and wont go to full screen and the bottom is comepletely gone

Can a person just make a comment about how slow and painful walking is
or congratulate someone for the effort of hopping arround with a lander without an inquisition?
