Building a ship bug; parts don't attach!!

So yes, I quit playing this game almost a year ago because of this bug, tried playing again recently and it's still here...

Basically whenever I'm building a rocket most parts don't 'stick' together. I can get past this bug sometimes by flipping the part upside down. It's not like every part bugs like this but some parts. Especially the parachute, it just won't attach.. I found that fuel tanks won't attach (right side up) unless there's a coupler (the thing that detaches the parts during staging) in between. This is just frustrating. Am I doing something wrong or something?

I STILL HAVE THIS BUG!?!? Like I took a break, watched update after update go by, tried again this morning and not only is this bug still here but I can't attach anything to anything now. I can't get past the tutorial because nothing is attaching to each other.
I hate to bring this post back from the dead but if anyone has ideas please bring input. I'll be reinstalling the game today so I'll keep you updated.

Never had that problem myself. Unless others have any bright ideas I would suggest you put in a trouble ticket with Squad.

if you can attach a part try

1. selecting the part again from the side bar
2. press and hold the alt key whist attaching the part, this will force the part to only attach to the green attachment nodes
3. note some parts can not be directly attached to the sides of tanks, use the small cube part first then attach the part to the cube
4. if you are attaching two build parts together they may need to be rerooted. i.e. if you are trying to attach a lower stage to an previously build upper stage, just use the reroot tool on both built parts and make the root of both the parts you are trying to fit together (kinda hard to explain using word)

pressing and holding the alt key for basic crafts should sort your problem out atleast the ones from you pictures
