RealPlume not working?
I've recently tried installing RealPlume but I am not seeing any difference. Have I somehow mucked up the install or is it because it's a version for 1.2.1 instead of 1.2.2?

Its likely because it isnt updated. Even if an update doesnt change what a mod works with, some mods will auto disable if they detect version differences.
