DeltaV map calculator
Quick search on CKAN and KSP forums did not bring any results, so I am wondering if such mod exists. Basically, I am looking for a mod that can calculate DeltaV map in the game, based on current planet composition.

Static maps exist for stock and some popular systems, but not for every planet pack, so I have to do all the calculations manually. KSPTOT slightly helps, but I am looking for a more lighweight solution.

They're not mods. But they are what you want.

Astrogator is pretty much you want I guess?

Not sure how it compatible it is with other systems though.

Close, but the tool does not seem to show deltaV for reaching orbit of body. And I am already using transfer window planner and TOT to generate porkchop plot for interplanetary transferes. TOT does have a mission planner to calcule deltaV for the whole trip, but it is orders of magnitude more complex than simple deltav map.

Basically, I am looking for an in-game tool that can do this:

There is the in-game mod version of Transfer Window Planner, but once again, no clue how/if it works outside of the stock system?

I don't think the specific tool you are looking for exists, or at least, I've never seen anything remotely like it in the years I've been playing KSP.

One day my ability to express my thoughts and people's ability to comprehend them will be in equilibrium.

That's unfortunate. I guess it is back to Kerbal Spreadsheet Program . Thank you for the help.

I suggested it on the off chance you were using the web based tool, instead of the in game mod; no need to be snarky.

I suppose it is, perhaps you should either develop such an in game mod yourself, or head on over to the official forums and suggest it in the mod discussion forums.

Plant a test node and have your transfer delta v in plain m/s right there on the screen?
All planets have similarities. Similar gravity will have similar requirements for launch and landing. It is actually directly proportional to gravity. No need for spreadsheets.
Atmosphere differences can give you hints too. When there is none it is rather simple.

An accurate calculator is not possible. Because:
1. some bodies have atmosphere. Which can waste on launch and save on landing or circularization. Depends on your ship aerodynamics.
2. no engine can give you a clean, infinite short impulse burn. Which means you will waste some delta v again for any burn longer than a few sec. Again, depends on body as well. Orbit size and velocity.

It's not a calculator, but it does show you how much delta-v your stages have, their burn times and stuff. Try KER.

There's also mechjeb, does the same thing and is an autopilot for your ship, but KER has more features.

He's looking for a mod to "make" a Dv map of any given modded planetary system in-game.

I don't think such a thing exists though.

I don't know if this is correct, but someone did missions to each planet and moon in each planet pack that has delta-v maps, and they estimated delta-v and stuff like that, the transfer time is average so they must have done a couple missions. That's how the delta-v map for Galileo's Planet Pack was made. But no, I don't think there's any calculator for making delta-v maps.
