kis and/or kas not working correctly

i have the latest versions of kis and kas installed along with mechjeb, engineer, scansat alarmclock, planet base and planetshine installed. my problem is i can open the inventory in containers, command pods and kerbins but cannot place any items into them. it also seem there are some items missing, magnetic hook and removeable connector port are 2 ive noticed so far

Anyone else got this problem but more importantly got the solution to this problem any help on this will be gratefully recieved.

try removing all mods exept kis and kas then try again

For me, KIS 1.4.0 and KAS 0.6.2 work fine and i also have mechjeb, engineer and alarmclock.

ok i removed all mods except mechjeb and engineer, tested integrity of game files, deleted all other mods from drive, went back to curse redownloaded kis and kas also downloaded cck and mm from respective web sites. then reinstalled mods. still not working, it is as if the inventory screen is not there and the tools/items are placed in the vab. im stumped with this any more i can do or forgot to do.

only keep kas and kis then try again
this is to see if there is a conflict with any other mods

(also you dont have to delete the mods just make a temporary folder and move all mods exept kis and kas into them)

Just to be sure: you know that you have to drag the items in the inventory? placing them by clicking is not supported by KIS.
