Docking ports
There are six docking ports available for different sizes and docking directions. In order to dock two spacecraft, both must be equipped with docking ports of equal size. When constructing a spacecraft, another part which is not a docking port can be placed on it. That part can then be undocked, but not redocked. This is a common mistake for beginners!
Clamp-O-Tron Jr. is the tiny port.
Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port is the small port.
Clamp-O-Tron Sr. Docking Port is the large port.
Clamp-O-Tron Shielded Docking Port is a small port (compatible with the Clamp-O-Tron Docking Port) covered by a retractable shield. This protects the port from atmospheric friction. The port's cover must be opened before it can be used for docking.
Inline Clamp-O-Tron is a small port mounted within a recessed bay in a 1.25m cylindrical fuselage. This allows the port to be hidden within a stack of small parts. The port's cover must be opened before it can be used for docking.
Mk2 Clamp-O-Tron is a small port mounted within a recessed bay in a Mk2 fuselage. It is the Mk2 version of the Inline Clamp-O-Tron.
compatible ? And the inline, too, or not ?!?
To clarify there are 3 sizes of ports and ports are only compatible with there own size.
Tiny- Clampotron Jr.
Small-Clampotron, Clampotron Shielded, Inline Clampotron, Mk 2 Clampotron.
Large-Clampotron Sr.
So basically the Jr only goes with other Jr's and same with the Sr's. The rest are all classififed as small and are compatible with eachother.
No problem, fly safe!
I do my best, I´m just very new in (or to ?) the game !
If you're new a great place to get science points alot of people don't know about is around the KSC, every building is it's own little "biome" where you can run science experiments (As you upgrade each building it can sometimes add another area that counts as it's own biome; the flagpole outside the astronaut complex is a good example of this), they don't give a lot of points but if you do them all it can add up, especially in the early game.
If you have the first set of landing wheels, make a "rocket car" with science experiments on it and explore the Kerbal Space Center a bit.
to make a multi-adapter ? (I don´t hear this before, but the idea is very great)
