you have to get 1 aircraft drive it to off of the runway THEN go to the space center and load another aircraft
you can switch to the aircraft on the ground when flying with the [ and ] keys
you do not seem to know how to make planes if they would just crash when you leave it in the air with SAS for a few seconds
I can make planes fine, But I do not belive it'll allow you to leave your plane while it is accelerating or decelerating
The game is not like real life however. You may be able to make a plane that can fly all the way around Earth/Kerbin. But the game doesn't actively load the model while your not flying it. Unless your plane is in a stable orbit, it will not allow it.
Your engines don't run when the model is not loaded, nor does your SAS.
you can switch vessels when they are moving you just cant go to KSC or switch to an out of range/un-loaded craft
You also can't let the vessels get too far away from eachother. They both have to be inside the active "physics bubble" which is roughly 2.5km.
It's been 2.5km for as long as I can remember but it's possible they increased it recently?
Every reference I can find mentions the physics bubble being 2.5km.
I'd be very interested to see the source/documentation you got this number from.
I can't seem to find any official word on this anywhere, now I'm kind of curious.
EDIT: So I'm looking at the Physics .ini file and looks like 2500ish meters is the magic number for the most part at least as far as load and unload go, pack and unpack is a different story...I think I'm more confused now then when I started lol. Anyways I certainly don't see any 600's in there?
