Any speed or height records are going to have to be recorded manually by pressing F3 while in flight and jotting down whatever stats you want to record somewhere.

Scientific records are stored in the science building and can tell you where you gathered science.

My personal top speeds for rovers on kerbin are 100m/s by the end of the runway with just rover wheels to power it and 180m/s at the north pole with the same rover. It went over 400 m/s with drag turned off before it tumbled uncontrollably.

Those giant wheels go really fast when theyre turning.

You used to have the "world first" contracts in your completed contract history, but ever since they changed to the "milestone" system, there is no permanent record :(

I'm always a little sad about that, as I would like to go back and review those milestones sometimes and maybe aim for higher ones. This data really should be available in the Archives, but it is not.

You can see it in your event history (where the little green "check" icons pop up) but it goes away once cleared, and does not persist in between game loads. Sort of useless.

Fortuneatly, the data does exist in your save file! If you open up the .sfs file for your save there should be a section that starts like this:

SCENARIO { name = ProgressTracking

That actually contains a lot of good data. For example, I can see that the name of my first craft to reach space is the ignomiously titled "Untitled Space Craft" with Valentian on board, flying the "Retro" flag..

I can also see that most of my records are topped out (does not track speed above 2500, I think) except I have barely touched "depth" so I might have some work to do there.

With pressure limits for parts turned on, you can only go down 400 meters or so.
Heat shields can go down a little deeper but I never really touched submarines.

I'm a little dissapointed that all the command parts have the same pressure limits. A fragile deep space lander can has the same 4000kpa limit as something designed for re-entery, or even a solid state probe core.

Probably some mod improves it, but I suppose this isn't really a submarine simulation.

You could always turn pressure limits off.
Underwater is boring to explore anyway.
