That’s what you get for rage quitting.
After sitting through boxes, boxes, boxes, boxes i vowed i would never forget that experience and now it’s cathartic to tick the ‘auto sort’ box and laugh at the idiot i was that let it happen in the first place ;)
On average it can take up to 10 minutes or more to sort through it all, and for what? That perfect sorting bonus that's practically pocket change, an amount that you can find in one of the many safes, sometimes even twice as much.
What you need to know, is that you only need to repeat the missed bits, every hit that you made, remains a hit, you only loose the cash bonus for comboes, which you were willing to loose anyway with the autosort.
What you'll do, is just boost the ENTIRETY of the containers into one spot. The first one will be the longest, and each one will be consequently shorter. You can do any order you wish. There are two smart ways to do it. Doing metal first, then nonmetal, liquid and tools, is the fastest. Reverse order will net you a larger combo bonus. Yes, you'll need to sort it 4 times, but since you won't be doing any actual sorting, just yeeting everything into one container, it'll be fairly swift.
So, to recap.
Just yeet everything into one container.
Then yeet everything remaining into a different container.
Doing it 4x makes you "speed sort" the entire ship.
Doing metal first is faster.
Doing metal last is more cash.
